“When my first child was little, I took the opportunity to travel the world, taking him with me to as many baby-friendly places as I could find. I found the differences between the cultures we visited fascinating. The people in Panatal, Brazil, for instance, have nothing like the same concept of material possessions that we do in Europe. It’s just not as important. It’s things like this that, for me, highlight the importance of cultural understanding to our clients. If you’re setting up a business in the UK, it’s not enough just to speak the same language. You have to be thinking on the same level.”

As one of our Financial Controllers, Gisela looks after the management accounts and monthly and year-end reporting for a range of different clients. She also has responsibility for all aspects of accounts processing and providing clients with additional support and advice as necessary.

She has a degree in Business Administration from the Middlesex University Business School, and has previously worked as an auditor for ‘Big Four’ professional services firms in both the UK and her native Sweden. She loves travelling and has a passion for visiting uniquely imaginative design hotels.
